Electroflocculation

Process for the purification of saline waters of industrial origin and of water/sludge mixtures using the known principles of electroflotation and flocculation. Iron, aluminium or graphite electrodes are used.

This is characterized by the fact that the water/sludge mixture, whose pH value is constantly adjusted to 3 to 10. The mixture is first mixed with compressed air, possibly enriched with ozone, or if necessary with hydrogen peroxide (H2O2). The mixture is then whirled from bottom to top by electrode packs mounted vertically. The purified water can flow off via an overflow device.
