Bath

In practice, the electrolyte is usually referred to as the electrolyte. Despite many attempts to eliminate this misleading designation by consistently using the term “electrolyte”, this expression has remained to this day.

Further designations for bath are container (tub), contents of the container, salt/salt mixture for the preparation of the electrolyte.

The same applies to hot-dip galvanizing. The container is referred to as the furnace or galvanizing furnace, the contents as the zinc melt.
