ACC-Test

Accelerated condensation corrosion test

Execution: The samples – in radially symmetrical arrangement on one wheel – are moved back and forth (1/3 reversal/min) in the upper part of a chamber on the bottom of which water at 54 °C is located. The evaluation is carried out according to the time of occurrence of the first rust points. For sample preparation, sandblasted, cleaned steel plates are immersed in distilled water (54 °C) for 5 seconds, rinsed in methyl alcohol for 5 seconds, dried in air for 15 seconds, immersed in anti-rust oil for 1 minute and left to drip for 16 to 18 hours.
